Product information "Diamond reamers, galvanic bonding"
Diamond/CBN reamers
These tools appeal by their robust and user-friendly design and extraordinary durability. As the advancement of conventional lapping arbors, these reamers can be used without compound – so that no time-consuming cleaning is necessary. Design features fixed shank, cylindrical clamping, slotted front and continuous adjustability by means of a locking screw.
Main applications
• Finishing-machining of hardened press bores for tool and mould making
• Reworking on hard ejector bores and sleeves for the plastics industry
• Fine machining and finishing for large-scale production on transfer lines and machining centres
Diamond or CBN?
It all depends on the hardness of the material:
• Diamond for tungsten carbide, ceramics and steel up to 57 HRC
• Boron nitride for hardened steel up to 58 HRC
