The cutting effect of these stones makes them ideal for processing of moulds manufactured by electroerosion. The sharp and easy-cutting premium aluminium oxide strips the extremely hard surface layer that remains after electroerosion in a very short time. EDM stones are very hard and therefore dimensionally stable and do not clog. Further surface refinement can be achieved with the subsequent use of finer grit sizes of DF quality.
